No. 1 Men's Soccer Blank Redeemer, 4-0

VAUGHAN – Top-ranked Humber men's soccer (6-0-0, 1st West) cruised by Redeemer (0-5-0, 9th West) Wednesday evening, 4-0.

Trying out a new formation, Humber's offence struggled to find its grove in the early going, only forcing the Redeemer keeper Matthew Carney to make one save in the opening 45 minutes. As time expired in the half, Nicholas Machado made a brilliant chip pass over the Redeemer defence to find Zachary Zitoli who buried his fifth goal of the season.

After the break, freshman Julian DeSousa found Machado in the box, who made a brilliant spin move and beat the keeper for his second career goal.

In the 78th minute, the Hawks got on the board again. Federico Leal found Aziah Reid in the box, who ran by three defenders and snuck the ball through Carney's legs to score his first of the season.

Redeemer's defence was focused on Leaford Allen all match, rarely allowing the striker to touch the ball without a swarm of defenders around him. Finally, in the 87th minute, Allen was able to intercept a pass from Carney, making a move on the goalie to record his 12th tally of the season.
