FERRAZZO NETS TWO AS No. 4 HUMBER BLANKS CONESTOGA, 3-0
VAUGHAN, Ont – Concluding the home slate with a clean sheet, No. 4 Humber men's soccer (6-1-1, 1st Central) cruised past Conestoga (0-6-2, 6th Central), 3-0, on Wednesday afternoon at the Ontario Soccer Centre.
Playing in his final home match as a Hawk, Bradley Fenton opened the scoring in the fourth minute, driving a strike from outside the 18-yard box past Conestoga keeper Ian Anderson-McKenzie.
Trailing by one, the Condors dropped ten players deep on defence, doing their best to keep Humber off the board. Despite 13 shots and eight corner kicks in the first-half, Humber was unable to find the back of the net again and went into the break leading, 1-0.
In the 65th minute, Tomasz Balicki – making his return to the Humber lineup – raced by multiple Conestoga defenders, creating an easy tap-in for freshman Riley Ferrazzo.
Less than ten minutes later, Ferrazzo found the back of the net once again, driving a shot off a Condor defender and into the back of the net.
Freshman Sebastian Zeballos started in net for Humber, making one save to record his third win of the season.
