Scouting No. 14 Sheridan

  • Unbeaten in their first six matches, the Bruins enter this CCAA top-15 rankings for the first time this season.
  • Francis Ameyaw leads the team offensively, scoring five goals in four matches, including one game-winner.
  • Sheridan's keepers have been outstanding to begin the season, allowing a league-low three goals against. Chester Ashby leads the team with three wins, including two clean sheets.

Previous Meeting
Humber capped off its second consecutive undefeated season with a 1-0 win over Sheridan last season. Michael Aigbokie recorded the only goal for Humber and finished his career second all-time in scoring for the Hawks.

Nick Frenati recorded the clean sheet and his fourth win of the season.

Rivalry?
Since 1981, Humber is 24-5-5 all-time against Sheridan, including 4-0 in postseason play.

Snapped
Humber's 3-2 home loss to George Brown on Sept. 26 snapped its program record of 38 consecutive regular-season matches without a loss. It also snapped its home win streak of 18 straight matches.

Score to Win
Humber's 1.5 goals allowed per game is on pace to be the program's highest since 1993 when the Hawks allowed 12 goals in eight matches. To balance out the defensive struggles, Humber is averaging 4.2 goals-per-game, which would match the program high.

What's Next?
No. 4 Humber will conclude its regular season series with Conestoga (0-5-1, 6th OCAA) on Oct. 10. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. and will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network.
