No. 2 MEN'S SOCCER HAS 38-MATCH UNBEATEN STREAK SNAPPED BY GEORGE BROWN

VAUGHAN, Ont – A day after moving to the No. 2 ranked program in the country, the Humber men's soccer team (4-1-0, 2nd Central) fell to the George Brown Huskies (3-0-3, 1st Central), 3-2, at the Ontario Soccer Centre.

Humber opened the scoring in the 22nd minute when Luca Baldassarre recorded his seventh goal of the season.

Less than a minute later, George Brown responded on a goal from Filipe Viela, who scored his league-leading tenth goal of the season.

Right before the break, Anas Mohamed scored for the Huskies, giving George Brown a 2-1 lead after 45 minutes of action.

Regrouped and refocused, the Hawks came out of the break attacking. Stavros Badunas, playing his first season for Humber soccer since 2011, scored his first goal of the season in the 49th minute.

A late tackle in the 71st minute gave George Brown a penalty kick. Shaquille Agard converted the shot, sealing the game.
