VAUGHAN, Ont – The No. 1 Humber men's soccer team (7-0, 1st Central) has a chance to secure its fifth straight division title Wednesday against the No. 13 George Brown Huskies (5-1-1, 2nd Central), with kick-off set for 4:30 p.m.  The match will be streamed live on HSN2. 

The Opening Kickoff

  • Humber continues to boast the highest scoring offence in the province; averaging 3.86 goals-per-game.
  • With four goals against this season, the Hawks have matched their total from last season.
  • Humber is the only team that features two scorers ranked in the top five in the OCAA. Luca Baldassarre (5th) has seven goals, while All-Canadian Jaineil Hoilett (2nd) has eight.

Last Time Out
The Hawks returned to the Ontario Soccer Centre last week to wrap up the season series with the Conestoga Condors (0-7-1, 6th OCAA).  Four first half goals allowed the Hawks to extend their unbeaten streak to 39 straight.

Danielle Clemente opened the scoring in the ninth minute, recording the eighth tally of his career.  Bradley Fenton scored his third of season, while Jaineil Hoilett converted two penalty kicks.

Eugenio Garro earned the clean sheet, his second of the season.

Scouting No. 1 Humber
Humber currently sits first in the OCAA central division at 7-0, including 2-0 at home.  Jaineil Hoilett leads the Hawks with eight goals, while eight other Hawks have recorded a tally this season.

Scouting No. 13 George Brown
At 5-1-1, the Huskies feature the second-ranked scoring offence in the league, averaging 3.43 goals-per-game.  With six goals in his last two matches, Filipe Vilela leads the OCAA with 10 goals, including two game winners.

Last Meeting
Humber handed George Brown its only loss of the season, knocking the Huskies from ninth to 13th in the national polls.  Rookie Nick Frenati turned away nine shots to record the clean sheet, while Luca Baldassarre (2) and Tomasz Balicki found the back of the net for Humber in the 3-nil win.
