Morton Claims Individual Crown, Humber 2 Finishes Second

LONDON – Freshman Davey Morton carded a tournament-low one-over par (73) to claim the individual title at the 2019 Fanshawe Invitational at FireRock Golf Course. The Hawks entered two teams into the tournament and Humber 2 finished the tournament in second place after a combined 306 - six strokes behind the hometown Fanshawe Falcons. Humber 1 finished ten strokes off the lead, carding a round of 310.

Of the ten Humber golfers in the tournament, nine carded a round 80 or better. Cameron Griffin, Cameron Brennan, Iz Hustler, and Sean O'Hara all finished with a round of five-over (77).

What's Next?
The defending provincial champions will compete in four tournaments over the next seven days in preparation for the OCAA Championship at Cataraqui Golf and Country Club from Sept. 29 to Oct. 2.
