MEDICINE HAT, Alb. – The No. 2 Humber men's golf team will play for its national-best 11th CCAA Championship title this week at Desert Blume Golf Course in Alberta. The tournament will consist of four 18-hole rounds. Tee times have yet to be announced.

Last Time Out
Led by All-Canadian Cameron Griffin and his six-over par silver medal finish, the Hawks captured the programs 21st OCAA provincial championship.

Humber beat the field by four strokes, going 31-over par (297, 296, 290 – 883).

Last Year
At the Royal Ashburn Golf Course in Oshawa, Humber shot 76-over par to capture the CCAA bronze medal. All-Canadian Cameron Brennan finished tied for sixth, finishing 14-over par (82-73-74-73 – 302).

The Field
No. 2 Humber will be joined by No. 1 UFV (PACWEST), No. 3 d'Andre-Laurendeau (RSEQ), No. 4 Fanshawe (OCAA), and No. 5 MacEwan (ACAC).

Scouting Humber
Humber enters the Championship with three tournament wins this season, finishing first at the Lakehead Invitational, NCAA Mercyhurst Invitational, and the OCAA Championship.

Scouting the Field
The UFV Cascades (PACWEST) enter the tournament as the top-ranked program in the country. The Cascades claimed the conference crown for the second straight year and were led by Daniel Campbell and Kyle Claggett – who finished one-two in the men's individual race.

The Course
Desert Blume Golf Club will play host to the 72-hole event from Oct. 15-19, 2018. Desert Blume is a world-class golf course featuring pristine conditions in a beautiful desert setting.

The par-72 course extends to 6,835 yards from the black tees.
