HAWKS WIN NCAA MERCYHURST INVITATIONAL ON MONDAY
NORTH EAST, PA: The Humber Hawks men's golf team continue to get incredible results as they prepare for the upcoming OCAA Championships. On Monday at Lake View Golf Club, the Hawks soared to the team title after entering Day 2 of the event in second place at the Mercyhurst Invitational.
By way of their team 298 after play on Sunday, Humber was in second and in striking distance of team gold. Conner Watt led Humber and the entire event with a 6 under, 68.
Although the Hawks fell a few strokes off Sunday's pace to card a team 301 on Tuesday, they secured a solid three stroke victory. Watt ran into some bad luck and he fell out of contention for the individual crown. Luke Mclean maintained his opening day second spot placing, by grabbing the silver, shooting par over the two day event.
