No. 5 HUMBER SET TO CONCLUDE SEASON AT No. 8 SHERIDAN FRIDAY NIGHT

The Storyline
No. 5 Humber men's basketball (18-1, 1st West) will conclude the 2018-19 regular season on the road at No. 8 Sheridan (14-5, 2nd West) on Feb. 15. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m.

'The Game'
The Humber/Sheridan game – considered by many as the fiercest rivalry in the CCAA – resumes Friday for the 104th regular season edition. Since 2000, these two programs have combined for 13 provincial championships and 26 combined titles since 1985.

In postseason play, Humber owns a 12-5 (.706) record against the Bruins, including a 55-51 win in the 2001 CCAA national title game.

Scouting Sheridan

• The Bruins are currently on a two-game losing streak - their second of the season.
• Sheridan is led by third-year guard Nick Campbell, who is averaging a career-best 21.4 PPG.
• All-time, the Bruins are 32-18 against Humber at home during the regular season.
• With a loss, Sheridan will finish third in the West Division.

Previous Meeting
On Nov. 7, the Hawks picked up their fifth win of the season, defeating Sheridan on Coach Downey's birthday, 81-78. Fowzi Mohamoud finished with a team-high 19 points, while Jaylan Morgan and senior Curwin Elvis finished with 18 and 17 points, respectively.

Nick Campbell finished with a game-high 30 points in the loss, while Humber's defence forced the Bruins into a season-high 19 turnovers.

Home Is Where The Heart Is
Humber went 9-0 on its home court this season, finishing the year unbeaten at the North Campus Gym for the first time since the 2014-15 season.

All-time, the Hawks are 296-85 (.777) at the North Campus Gym.

Ranked
The Hawks are 4-2 against CCAA ranked opponents this year.

Percentages
With an 18-1 record, Humber has a chance to finish the season with the highest win percentage in program history. Previous best: .944 - 2010, 2011, and 2015.

1983
Humber basketball continues to be the premier program in the province. The Hawks have qualified for the OCAA postseason every year since the 1983 – a span of 36 seasons.

Exclusive Company
In Wednesday's win over Mohawk, Jaylan Morgan became the 15th player to join Humber's 300-point club.

Third-year guard DeQuon Cascart needs 19 points to become the 31st player in team history to score 500-plus career points.

Top-10
Senior Curwin Elvis sits ninth all-time on Humber's career scoring list with 674 points. With one game remaining in the season, Elvis will become the first player in program history to play in 90 regular season games.

What's Next?
No. 5 Humber's 2019 crossover opponent has yet to be determined. The Hawks will host the crossover game Feb. 23 at 8 p.m.
