No. 3 MEN'S BASKETBALL WELCOMES FANSHAWE SUNDAY

The Storyline
No. 3 Humber men's basketball (12-0, 1st West) will welcome Fanshawe (9-3, 4th West) Sunday afternoon to the North Campus Gym.

The game will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network at 3 p.m. with Matt Hamel and Kyle Dalton on the call, and Danielle Dupuis reporting from the sidelines.

Last Time Out

The Matchup
The West Division foes will conclude the season series Sunday. All-time, Humber owns a 23-7 regular season home record against the Falcons at home, including wins in 16 of their last 17 meetings at the North Campus Gym.

Scouting Fanshawe

• The Falcons visit Etobicoke on a five-game winning streak – the second longest streak in the conference.
• Fanshawe has two road losses this season, both by ten points or less.
• Offensively, the Falcons are led by all-star Chris Parker, who is averaging 24.5 PPG – tied for fourth in the league.
• As a team, Fanshawe is allowing a league-low 36.1 per cent (313-of-867) shooting from the floor this season.

Previous Meeting
Humber opened the 2018-19 campaign at Fanshawe – one of the few venues in the league where the Hawks own a sub-.500 record. In the season opener, Humber used a 32-13 third quarter to pick up the win, 96-70. Freshman Kevin Otoo finished with a game-high 17 points off the bench for the Hawks, while adding a season-high seven steals. Humber's defence forced Fanshawe into a season-high 28 turnovers.

Pass the Rock
The Hawks finished with 36 assists in the win over UTM – the most during the Samson Downey era.

Stealth Mode
Humber standout Jaylan Morgan continues to quietly fly under the radar on the CCAA basketball circuit. The fourth-year forward is leading the top-program in the province in scoring (17.5 PPG), converting at a division-best 64.4 per cent (76-for-118).

From Downtown
Second-year guard Fowzi Mohamoud sits ninth all-time on Humber's three-point list, tying Humber great Gibson Eduful with 57 three-pointers made through 32 career games.

Since the beginning of the 1990 season, the Hawks are 206-24 (.896) at the North Campus Gym.

A New Era
In Humber's win over UTM on Wednesday, head coach Samson Downey tied Shawn Collins for the most consecutive wins (12) to begin a career.
