The Storyline
No. 9 Humber men's basketball (4-0, 1st West) will conclude its two-game homestand Wednesday evening when No. 1 Sheridan (3-1, 2nd West) visits the North Campus Gym. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. and will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network.

Last Time Out
A game-high 25 points from Jaylan Morgan led Humber to a win over Lambton (1-2, 7th West) in its 2018 home opener, 102-96. The Hawks shot a season-high 52.6 per cent (41-of-78) from the floor.

'The Game'
The Humber/Sheridan game – considered by many as the fiercest rivalry in the CCAA – resumes Wednesday for the 103rd regular-season edition. Since 2000, these two programs have combined for 13 provincial championships and 26 combined titles since 1967.

In postseason play, Humber owns a 12-5 (.706) record against the Bruins, including a 55-51 win in the 2001 CCAA national title game.

Scouting Sheridan

  • After winning the Dawson Classic and Wayne Allison Fall Showdown, the Bruins began the 2018 season as the top-ranked program in the nation.
  • Trailing by as many as 21 points in the first half against Redeemer (2-2, 6th West), the Bruins comeback fell short, dropping the game, 112-109.
  • Through four games, Sheridan is averaging a league-best 122.3 PPG.
  • All-time, the Bruins are 23-29.

Previous Meeting
Leading by 12 after 30 minutes of play, Humber's foul trouble allowed Sheridan to chip away at the lead. A buzzer-beater prayer from the Bruins tied the game and forced overtime. In the extra frame, DeQuon Cascart took over the game, hitting four big free throws before stealing an in-bound pass to ice the game.

Home Is Where the Heart Is
All-time, Humber owns a 29-23 (.558) record against the Bruins at the North Campus Gym, winning eight of their last 11 meetings.
