ENTERTAINING MEN'S BASKETBALL GAME HITS THE CENTURY MARK BY BOTH TEAMS

The Men's basketball Alumni game was the perfect game to wrap up what has been an amazing weekend. The Humber Hawks Men's basketball team showed how dominating their offence could be as they beat their Alumni 116-102. The Men's Alumni game started with high intensity coming from both sides. The Alumni's got off to a great start leading early on, but the Hawks Men's basketball team's offense looked to be too much for the Alumni's to handle. The Men's basketball team took the lead late in the first quarter and never gave it up. Despite the alumni's battling all night and trimming the lead by as low as four they never managed to catch up.

Late in the second quarter, just went we thought we were in for a blow out the Alumni's refused to let the game go away. The former Hawks seemed to all found a rhythm hitting back to back threes and trimmed their deficit to only 4 with 3 minutes left before half. But the Men's team showed what they're made of, as they also went on a run of their own late in second quarter going into the half with a 63-46 lead. Despite the high intensity of the third quarter the Hawks Men's basketball team's made timely shots every time their Alumni's tried making a comeback as the third quarter ended 89-73. The story was the same in the fourth quarter, as the scoring barrage continued for the Men's basketball team. The mutual respect was evident throughout the game as both team competed extremely hard. It was a great showing and a great weekend! Look out for the Humber Hawks Men's basketball team season that will begin soon.
