NAVY MEN’S BASKETBALL COMING TO HUMBER FOR PAIR OF GAMES

ETOBICOKE, ON:  The Humber Athletic Centre will be the host site for a pair of men's basketball games that will feature the Navy men's basketball team (NCAA – D1) on Thursday, May 17, 2018.

Navy will open up the day with a match-up against the OUA's Nipissing Lakers at 12:00 noon, and finish their full day swing with a game against the Humber Hawks at 7:00 pm. As with all Humber varsity games, admission for both games is free.

This will mark the second appearance by a Navy squad, as the Hawks hosted the Midshipmen fifteen years ago as part of their northern pre-season trip in August. The visitors were victorious on that day, and featured a number of star players.

This year's Navy team looks just a formidable, coming off an overall record of 20-12, and a third place standing in the Patriot League with an 11-7 mark. They advanced to the league playoffs, but bowed out in the quarter-finals by way of an 81-65 loss to Holy Cross.

They were led by senior guard Shawn Anderson (New Castle, PA), and his mark of 13.3 points per game.  Bryce Dulin (Nixa, MO), another key senior in the Midshipmen line-up, chipped in with an average of 10.1 ppg.
