The Storyline
No. 10 Humber men's basketball will host St. Lawrence (10-10, 5th East) in an OCAA crossover game Feb. 24 at the North Campus Gym. The game will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network at 6 p.m. with Matt Hammel and Mohammad Khosroshahi on the call.

Last Time Out
In their final regular season game, the Hawks (15-5, 3rd West) fell on the road to No. 4 Redeemer (19-1, 1st West), 94-82, Wednesday evening.

After trimming Redeemer's 14-point lead to three points late in the fourth quarter, All-Canadian Rayvon Higdon took over the game for the Royals to secure the victory. Higdon scored 20 of his game-high 32 points in the final frame.

Scouting St. Lawrence

  • The Vikings have lost four of their last six regular season games and finished 4-6 this season on the road.
  • St. Lawrence is led by Brad Richards, who finished the season averaging a double-double with 12.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game.
  • The Vikings rank in the bottom half of the league in scoring, averaging 72.3 ppg.
  • From behind the 3-point line, St. Lawrence has hit 33.9 percent (161-of-475) of its shots, the sixth-best mark in the league.

Previous Meeting
These programs will be meeting in a crossover game for the second straight season, and the Hawks came away with the 100-75 victory last year at the North Campus Gym. After a close start to the game, Humber used a 19-4 in the first half to pull away to an easy victory.

Curwin Elvis scored 11 points for Humber, shooting 5-of-8 from the floor. Taylor Reddick finished with a team-high 19 points for St. Lawrence in the loss.

What To Watch For

  • Humber is 4-0 all-time in OCAA crossover qualifying games.
  • The Hawks have won ten or more games in a season for 18 consecutive years.
  • The last time Humber went one and out in the postseason was in 2008, losing a heartbreaking 59-58 quarterfinal game to St. Lawrence. Kern Lewis, the assistant coach on the Humber women's basketball team, was a tournament all-star for St. Lawrence that season.
  • The Hawks have appeared in the OCAA Championship every season since 1983, a streak spanning 34 years.

Record Year
Under second-year head coach Patrick Au, the Humber Hawks thrived offensively in his system, surpassing numerous program records this season. Humber averaged 95.9 points this season, its highest mark since 1995.

The Hawks hit a program record 184 3-pointers this year, converting at a program-high 35.4 percent.

Moving On Up
C.J. Bennett became the 14th Humber Hawk to join the 300-point club, finishing with 319 points – the ninth highest total in program history. After 54 regular season contests, Bennett sits 14th on Humber's career scoring list, six points behind two-time provincial champion Akeem Sween.

After scoring 398 points this season – the third-highest total in program history – Kenny Ejim now sits 17th all-time in scoring at Humber. Ejim's average of 22.1 ppg fell shy of Doug McKinley's school record of 23.6, established in 1984.

Sniped
Curwin Elvis finished the season with the highest field goal percentage in the league, shooting 59.7 percent (83-of-139) from the floor – the second-best mark in program history.

Jordan Rose tied the program record for 3-point percentage, shooting a league-best 45.1 percent (23-of-51) from beyond the arc. Rose's mark ties assistant coach Chad Bewley's record from 2014.
