EJIM JOINS 500-POINT CLUB IN WIN OVER MOHAWK

HAMILTON, Ont -- Kenny Ejim joined Humber's 500-point club Tuesday night as the Hawks escaped Hamilton with a 95-81 win over the Mohawk Mountaineers (7-9, 7th West).

Kenny Ejim, C.J. Bennett, Curwin Elvis, and DeQuon Cascart all finished in double figures, with Ejim tallying a game-high 25 points while adding eight rebounds. Bennett finished with 19 points, while Elvis added 17 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the floor. Cascart continued his hot shooting from deep, finishing with 11 points, including 3-of-6 from beyond the arc.

Humber (11-4, 3rd West) jumped out to an early lead, finishing the opening frame ahead, 23-18.

The Hawks struggled from deep in the first half, shooting 14.3 percent (1-of-7) and the Mountaineers took advantage, ending the second quarter on a 10-0 run to trim Humber's lead to one after 20 minutes of play.

After the break, the Hawks looked refreshed, extending their lead to seven after three quarters.

With less than three minutes to play, Kenny Ejim hit his team-leading 41st 3-pointer of the season, to become Humber's newest member of the 500-point club.
