ETOBICOKE, Ont –The Humber Hawks men's basketball team (8-2, 2nd West) finished their home-stand at the North Campus Gym with another win on Wednesday night, defeating the UTM Eagles (0-8, 11th West) 109-53. The Hawks offence scored over 100 points for the first time in four games, a span which occurred after the Hawks began the season by scoring over the century mark in five straight games.
The Hawks led the entire game, beginning with Humber's starting line-up shooting 7-12 throughout the 1st quarter. Fowzi Mohamoud came off the bench and scored 6 points (2-4 3PT), along with Terry Hill who chipped in 4 points off free throws. C.J. Bennett finished with 5 points and four assists, while the Hawks shot 4-8 from long range. Despite seven turnovers in the quarter, Humber held the Eagles to 5-20 shooting from the field (25 percent). Zamam Khan led the way for UTM, tallying 7 points. After the 1st quarter, Humber was in command, 28-13.
In the 2nd quarter, UTM continued to struggle offensively, with the team shooting 29%. The Eagles also had trouble containing Humber's twin towers of Kenny Ejim (3-6 FG) and Byron Trench (3-3 FG), with the pair scoring 6 points each. Fowzi Mohamoud had 9 of Humber's 14 bench points, while C.J. Bennett maintained his strong performance throughout the game, finishing the first half with 7 points, four rebounds, and six assists. The 4th leading scorer in the OCAA, Zamam Khan (23.8 PPG) kept consistent for the Eagles, as he had 11 of the team's 13 points in the quarter. Khan finished the half with 18 points, but Humber remained in the lead, 51-26.
The Eagles were much better to start the second half, getting a more balanced offensive effort, this time with Nicholas Al-Rehany, John Filaber, and Mathushan Srikannathasan scoring a combined 13 points (6-10 FG). C.J. Bennett led the way for Humber, finishing the 3rd quarter just two rebounds and an assist shy of a triple-double. It was UTM's best quarter, as they were only outscored by a five-point margin (21-26), giving the Humber Hawks a 77-41 lead heading into the final quarter of play.
During the 4th quarter, UTM managed to score only 6 points (2-12 FG, 2-8 FT) while the Hawks had their best quarter offensively, scoring 32 points. C.J. Bennett would end up getting his triple-double, capping off his fine performance with 16 points (4-6 FG, 7-7 FT), ten rebounds, ten assists, and four steals. Five Humber players ended up with double-digit points, including Byron Trench, who had 7 points and seven rebounds in 4th the quarter, finishing the game with 20 points (9-14 FG) and 14 rebounds. Kenny Ejim had 25 points (10-17 FG), eight rebounds, four assists, and four steals, and two blocks, with DeQuon Cascart and Fowzi Mohamoud each scoring 12 points off the bench.

No. 14 Humber Hawks will head back on the road to play the Niagara Knights (5-3, 4th West) on Dec. 8. The game is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. and will be streamed live courtesy of the Niagara Athletics Department.
