The Storyline
After sweeping Sault during its weekend home opener, the No. 6 Humber men's basketball team (5-0, 1st West) will face its toughest test of the season Saturday afternoon when the No. 10 Redeemer Royals (4-0, 2nd West) visit the North Campus Gym. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m.
Last Time Out
Behind Byron Trench's 16-point, 12-rebound double-double, the Hawks cruised to a 123-52 win over the Sault Cougars (0-4, 11th West). Kenny Ejim scored a game-high 23 points, while Fowzi Mohamoud finished with a career-high 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor.
Scouting Redeemer
The Royals are led by two-time All-Canadian Rayvon Higdon, who is currently leading the West Division in scoring, averaging 24.3 points per game. The 2016 scoring champion is shooting 56.1 percent (32-of-57) from the floor, including 57.1 percent (8-of-14) from beyond the arc. Four other Royals are averaging double-digit scoring, including Elijah Lostracco 15.0 points per game.
Redeemer is fresh off a 105-89 win over Conestoga Wednesday night, as Foster Brown finished with a 21-point 10-rebound double-double. The Condors had three players score 20-plus points in the game and only received 21 points from its other eight players.
Last Meeting
Opening the second-half of the 2016-17 season, Humber defeated the Royals 87-61 at the North Campus Gym. Four players finished with double-digit scoring, including Tyrone Dickson, who finished with a 12-point, 15-rebound double-double.
Rayvon Higdon finished with a game-high 21 points, while Spencer Kerssies finished with nine points and nine rebounds for Redeemer in the loss.
Scouting Humber
- Humber is the top scoring offence in the province, averaging 109.6 points per game.
- From deep, the Hawks are shooting 42.6 percent (46-of-108), the highest percentage in the OCAA.

Century Mark
For the first time in program history, the Hawks have scored 100-plus points in five straight games to begin the season, surpassing its previous high of three, established during the 1994-95 season.
The 123 points scored against Sault was the second most in program history, falling 11 points shy of the record set during the 1990-91 season in a 134-73 win against George Brown. During that same season, Humber set the program record with seven 100-plus point games.
