DeQuon Cascart scored a career-high 20 points to help Humber improve to 2-0 on the season.

SARNIA, Ont -- The Humber men's basketball team (2-0, 1st West) pulled off the come-from-behind overtime win Saturday evening against the Lambton Lions (1-1, 5th West), 107-98.

It took a late basket from Curwin Elvis to get into the extra session, but Humber took control from there and outscored Lambton 14-5 in overtime.

DeQuon Cascart finished with a career-high 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting and added seven rebounds, which were also a career-high. C.J. Bennett finished with a team-high 23 points, Kenny Ejim chipped in 21 points with nine rebounds, Curwin Elvis had 13 points, and Jordon Rose rounded out the double-digit scorers for Humber, finishing with 11 points.

Humber controlled the boards with a 71-46 advantage on the glass and scored 15 second-chance points off 32 offensive rebounds.

Trailing by eight with less than two minutes remaining in the game, Humber's press defence allowed the Hawks to chip its way back into the game.

As time ran down, C.J. Bennett stole a Lambton pass to score two of his season-high 23 points, to cut the Lions lead to two. On the very next play, Kenny Ejim forced a turnover to find Curwin Elvis to tie the game and force overtime.
