SALTFLEET STANDOUT SIGNS WITH MEN'S BASKETBALL

ETOBICOKE, Ont -- The Humber men's basketball program has signed Terry Hill, a six-foot-two point guard who starred last season at Saltfleet Secondary School in Hamilton, Ont., as announced by head coach Patrick Au.

"We are very excited to add Terry to our program," said Coach Au, who led the Hawks to an OCAA bronze medal last season.  "He is one of the best point guards coming out of high school.  His passing ability and feel for the game are exceptional."

Hill, who hails from Hamilton, Ontario, has enrolled at Humber College and will begin his freshman season at North Campus this fall.

"There were a few reasons why I chose Humber College," said Hill.  "Humber is a great school academically, and the basketball program has a rich, championship history. I'm very excited to be a part of it."

After finishing the regular season with a 13-0 record, Hill and the Saltfleet Storm won the Southern Ontario Secondary Schools Association AAA championship, earning their third SOSSA crown.

"Coming from Saltfleet means Terry has been very well coached [by David Ormerod] and he understands the meaning of legacy and tradition," added Coach Au.

Hill, along with incoming recruit Jaspreet Singh, will join the rest of the Humber Hawks basketball team when training camp begins in July.
