The Storyline
The Humber softball team (11-7, 4th OCAA) heads back on the road to face the Conestoga Condors (6-10, 5th OCAA) on Fri. Oct 5th to conclude their away portion of the season. Game one is set for 6 p.m. at Budd Park in Kitchener.

Last Time Out
The Hawks split the home half of the series against the Durham Lords (16-6, 2nd OCAA). The Hawks were able to pull out a walk-off in game two by will of a suicide squeeze.

Scouting Conestoga

  • Cassie Leader earned herself an OCAA Star of the Week by going 5-for-5 against Seneca and was a home run away from hitting for the cycle. She has a team-high 18 hits this season and is batting .346.

  • Conestoga's pitching has struggled this season with their team ERA sitting at 5.89.

  • Conestoga is coming off of a 19 run scoring affair against Seneca, tied with Humber for most runs scored in a game this season.

Previous Meeting
18 games into the season, Humber and Conestoga still have not met up yet. Dating back to the last time these two teams met last season, the Hawks and the Condors split the home-half of the series. Humber took the season series 3-1.

Keep on Hitting
Fifth-year hit queen Bonnie Gillingham continues to shine at the plate. Her .426 batting average is the second highest on the Humber squad and fifth in the league. Gillingham currently has 135 career hits at Humber.

Flex Those Muscles
Humber has hit a league-leading five home runs this season, only half of how many they hit last season with only six regular season games to go. The five home runs come from five different players on the team.

Hot Pursuit
Fifth-year outfielder Elisa Gregoris is on pace to break the Humber and OCAA RBI record. She currently sits at 23 RBI and needs seven to beat the record. Gregoris collected two RBI against Durham this past weekend.

Lights Out
Fourth-year star, Myranda Pierson, currently holds a league-leading lowest 1.72 ERA. She has only given up nine earned runs in 36.2 innings pitched.

What's Next?
Humber will return to Connorvale on Oct. 10 to conclude its regular season series with the Condors on #HereToPlay night. Game one is set for 6 p.m. and will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network.
