HAWKS LOOK TO KEEP SWEEP POWER IN HAMILTON

HAMILTON, ON: After a victorious weekend for Humber Hawks women's softball (5-7, 5th OCAA) they head west to Mohawk Sports Park where they take on the Mohawk Mountaineers (3-6-1, 6th OCAA) in a double header Tuesday evening.

The Hawks swept the Mountaineers earlier this season in their home opener matchup with an astonishing score of 15-5 in the first game and 7-1 in the second. With some momentum under their feet, the Hawks will look to do the same this time around.

The two-game win against rival Durham Lords (8-4, 3rd OCAA) last week could be deemed as a turning point for the Hawks as they have had somewhat of a slow start to the season.

Aside from the two game win, another achievement for the Hawks was recorded. Pitcher Myranda Pierson (Toronto) surpassed recent Hall of Fame inductee, Jessica O'Quinn, in all-time wins making this a historic moment in Hawks softball.

Humber will take the field at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in Hamilton at Mohawk Sports Park Tuesday September 27.
