HAWKS AND STING TO FINALLY MEET ON THE FIELD

NORTH YORK, ON: The Humber Hawks and Seneca Sting have met with unkind weather on a number of occasions this year, and for the first time this year they will meet. Weather permitting, the two teams will play a pair of games on Tuesday night at Seneca College's Newnham Campus. Games are slated for 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

The importance of these games cannot be exaggerated, but only from the Hawks perspective. Humber, currently mired in a five game losing streak, will need both games to increase their chances of making the postseason. The Hawks hold the fourth spot, but by a slim two points over Conestoga.

Seneca has struggled all year long, posting only a single victory and losing fifteen. They have only scored twenty seven runs, and have given up a hundred and forty three.

From a statistical point of view, the Hawks have a skewed runs for/runs against mark. The team is 8-6 on the year, but has surrendered five more runs than they have scored.

Humber needs to get back to the pitching prowess they displayed early in the season, and needs to push runs across consistently. These games against the last place Sting may be the best medicine for the Hawks.
