MAKE-UP GAMES WILL INFLUENCE FINAL SEASON STANDINGS

ETOBICOKE, ON: After a long weekend on the road the Hawks (8-4) look forward to some redemption against the Fanshawe Falcons (10-4) in a make-up double header scheduled for Wednesday evening at 6 pm and 8 pm. Match-up's like these are crucial for playoff positioning as the Falcons and Hawks make up half of the top four teams in the OCAA.

So far Humber and Fanshawe have played each other twice. Humber took the first game in a 3-2 walk-off win at home, but Fanshawe evened the series with a 12-2 mercy on Saturday. Tomorrow's games can be the difference between the Hawks staying in fourth place in league standings or taking over Fanshawe's roost of second place.

The Hawks will be facing the top two ERA's in the league in Fanshawe's Alanna Gilmour and Lydia Kalbfleisch that have kept them flying high by winning eight of their last 10 games. But Humber packs a punch with hot bats, especially with short stop Bonnie Gillingham and catcher Terah Camilleri rounding out the top ten league batting average.

Coupled with home field advantage and riding the strong pitching of Myranda Pierson and Brianna Donaldson, with 12 strikeouts in 15 and two third innings pitched, Humber and Fanshawe will have an epic battle at Wildwood Park with major standings changes on the line for both squads.
