HAWKS LOSE GAME ONE 10-0 – GAME TWO WASHED AWAY

LONDON, Ontario: The Humber Hawks women's softball team opened up a crucial four game road trip on Saturday in London against the Fanshawe Falcons, with play-off positioning at stake.

In game one, it was all Falcons, as they had the mercy rule invoked by way of a six inning, 10-0 win. This was the Falcons eighth straight win, moving them to 10-4 and four points ahead of the Hawks for second place.

Game two started the same way as the Falcons ran out to a quick 2-0 lead. It was the top of the second when the Hawks finally broke through, scoring three times. They had the bases loaded and were looking to tack on, but rains came and forced suspension of the game.

It will be made up on Wednesday, October 7, as part of a doubleheader at Wildwood Park in Mississauga. The first game (suspended game) will start at 6:00 pm
