HAWKS TO BATTLE THE CHAMPION SAINTS ON SUNDAY

ETOBICOKE, Ontario: The team that knocked the Hawks off the top of the mountain last year, will travel up from Windsor to play the Hawks on Sunday afternoon at Wildwood Park. The St. Clair Saints were the 2014 champions, taking the title from the Humber teams that won back-to-back championships in 2012 and 2103. The first pitch of doubleheader action will take place at 1:00 pm, with game two to follow immediately after.

The two teams battled on three occasions last year in regular season play, with the Saints winning every time, the first two in dominating fashion, but the last a tight one-run affair. It was in the play-offs that the Hawks almost turned the league on its ear, but the eventual champion Saints pulled off a very slim 1-0 win.

The Saints have played four games so far, winning three and losing one. The loss came at the hands of Oshawa's Durham Lords. At press time, the Hawks had not recorded a result due to rainouts.

Of note, Sunday's game will be streamed "live". You can get the link by visiting www.humberhawks.ca and clicking on the WATCH LIVE icon on the bottom of the page.
