Defending Champions Release Open Tryout Dates

ETOBICOKE – The Humber baseball team will host open tryouts for the 2019 squad in late August, as indicated on the dates provided below. Last season the Hawks completed the best season in team history, capturing the NCBC and OCAA titles. Under the guidance of first-year head coach Matt Ferreira, Humber baseball finished the year with a 24-3 record – including 18 straight victories to finish the season.

All full-time Humber and Guelph-Humber students at all campuses are eligible to participate in the tryouts.  If you are interested in playing varsity baseball, please fill out the prospective student-athlete online registration form to provide us with more information about your athletic background.

Due to the fact that the tryouts are progressive in nature, prospective players may or may not be invited to additional tryouts or exhibition games after they have attended the first tryout.  It is highly recommended that any players wishing to gain a spot on the squad should make themselves available to attend as many workouts as possible, starting with the day one.

Also, come to camp in playing shape, as the tryout process is streamlined with the season beginning very quickly after the opening day of school.

Additional tryouts and exhibition games may be added to the tryout process.

*ALL POTENTIAL STUDENT-ATHLETES MUST FILL OUT A PAR-Q FORM BEFORE BEING ELIGIBLE TO TRYOUT. CLICK HERE TO FIND THE PAR-Q FORM. MUST BE PRINTED AND SUBMITTED AT FIRST DAY OF TRYOUTS*
