FIRST PLACE HAWKS LOOK TO BUILD ON RECORD AS SCHEDULE PASSES MIDWAY POINT

ETOBICOKE, ON: After a solid opening weekend at home in which the Hawks took over sole possession of first place in the OCAA standings with a 9-3 record, the team will complete its 2018 road schedule on Wednesday night at Christie Pits against the upstart George Brown Huskies.

LAST TIME OUT VS GEORGE BROWN

This will be the first match-up between these two teams this season. They last met in regular season play last year at Christie Pits, with the visiting Hawks prevailing 11-0 by way of a five-inning mercy. Humber scored all 11 runs in the first three innings, pounding out 14 hits in the shortened game. Liam Sutherland and Keegan Murphy rapped out three hits each to lead both teams. Stephen Narhabeki pitched four of the five innings and was credited with the victory.

Humber will host Durham on Saturday, with non-traditional game times. The Hawks women's softball team and the men's baseball team will combine for a quadruple doubleheader, with the women playing at 12 pm and 2 pm, while the men go at 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm. All the games will take place at Connorvale Park.
