ETOBICOKE, Ont: Once again it was a beautiful day for baseball as the Hawks were at home Sunday at Connorvale Park against the Fanshawe Falcons. Fanshawe (4-4) came into action against the Hawks losing both games against Durham College on Saturday. Sunday's matchup would see the Hawks win both games 6-2, and 15-5.
HUMBER 6, FANSHAWE 2
In game one, Humber leaned on veteran right-hander Brendan Lyons to get the Hawks off to a quick start in their double header. Lyons, in his second start of the season followed the excellent start by Steven Hough with one of his own. All game Lyons attacked the Falcons hitters, getting ahead early in the count on majority of the batters he faced throughout his six innings of work. Lyons finished with an impressive line of six innings, one run (earned) on two hits, two walks and four strikeouts. Cam Hibbs and Francis Toribio finished out the game for the Hawks to secure the game one victory.
Offensively, Humber was led by their table setters in Liam Sutherland, Keegan Murphy and Aaron Arbic-Cohen. Sutherland reached base twice, Murphy had two hits and scored two runs and Arbic-Cohen had two hits and a stolen base in the effort. RBI's came from Justin Marra (3), and Max Elofson. All of the damage for the Hawks came in the third and fourth innings as they plated three runs in both of the innings.
HUMBER 15, FANSHAWE 5
After a solid team win in game one, the Hawks would look for the sweep in game two. Head coach Denny Berni would peg right-hander Rory Pollard to continue the winning ways. In this outing Pollard struggled with his command through his 3 1/3 innings of work, getting into a lot of deep counts. The deep counts would lead to the Falcons having multiple runners on each inning. Pollard would end his outing with five runs allowed (all earned), on 10 hits, one walk and four strikeouts. In the fourth, Tyler Greenwood would take over and get out of the jam. Greenwood allowed one hit in his 2 2/3 innings, no runs, with four walks and a strikeout.
Offensively the Hawks picked up starter Rory Pollard, scoring in every inning but the third inning. Humber was led by Keegan Murphy who went 3-4 with three extra base hits and five RBI's. Justin Marra in the fifth hit a two-man shot off the light pole at Connervale Park, and finished with three RBI's. Dei Bannning (2), Sutherland (2), and Hahnfeld all tallied RBI's as well. Each member of the Hawks starting nine reached base in the game.

- Brendan Lyons and Keegan Murphy were named the Hawks Nation Player of the Game.

What's next?
After their matchup with the Falcons, on Wednesday the Hawks are traveling to East York to play an exhibition matchup against Ryerson University. First pitch is slated for 7:30pm.
