HAWKS CAPTURE OCAA BRONZE AFTER FALLING TO FANSHAWE

ETOBICOKE, ON: The Humber Hawks dropped an 11-1 decision to the Fanshawe Falcons on Sunday morning, thus earning the 201 OCAA bronze medal.

The outcome was unexpected, as the Hawks had defeated the Falcons in all five meetings leading up to this key match-up. In fact, Humber defeated Fanshawe less than 24 hours earlier in the tournament opener.

The Hawks landed in this game after a winner vs winner loss on on Friday night to the eventual champion St. Clair Saints.

Andrew Thomson, who led off and scored the Hawks only run, was the Hawks Player of the Game. Freshman Rory Pollard was tagged with the loss.

Blake Kauer, Player of the Game from Saturday's game against St. Clair, was honoured as a tournament All Star.
