OSHAWA, ON:  Just a couple of weeks ago, the Humber Hawks men's baseball team sat with a 1-5 record and in danger of not participating in the 2016 OCAA championships which they are hosting. But, how things can change in a couple of weeks. Humber ends the regular season on a run of 12 wins and just two losses, and will earn a home game in the playoffs as they have clinched second place.

On Saturday afternoon, in sunny Oshawa, Humber and the host Durham Lords split a pair of games. Durham held on for a 7-6 win and game one, while the Hawks scored early and often to run away with a 6-2 win.

In game one, it has hot hitting Andrew Thomson who led the Hawks once again at the plate. He rapped out three hits and added two RBI's. Brandon Manley matched Thomson hit total, with three of his own. Freshman Rory Pollard was tagged with the loss.

Game two saw the Hawks have four players with a pair of hits each. Thomson and Manley stayed hot with two more hits, while Blake Kauer and Steven Andreopolous getting two as well. Steven Hough pitched the complete game for the win.
