HAWKS HIT ROAD FOR CRUCIAL GAME AT SENECA ON WEDNESDAY

TORONTO, ON: The Humber Hawks men's baseball team will travel to Lambert Wilson Park on Wednesday night in what is an unusual critical game, especially this early in the season. Humber and their opponent and host, Seneca Sting, are virtually tied, with both looking to inch closer to a play-off spot.

The uniqueness about this game is that the two teams will be done their head-to-head series, but still have two thirds of the season yet to play. Seneca holds a slim 2-1 lead in games over the Hawks, but with a win, Humber would square the series and hold the tiebreaker.

The Hawks dominated the first game, running away with a 9-3 win. But it was the solid pitching and sound defence that led Seneca to two straight one-run wins, 2-1 and 1-0. Humber actually outhit the Sting in all three, but desperately need this win to pull in front of Seneca.

The game is set for a 7:00 pm first pitch.
