TOUGH ROAD TRIP AHEAD FOR MEN'S BASEBALL

LONDON, ON:  The Humber Hawks men's baseball (1-1, 3rd OCAA) team will be on the road this weekend to play four games in two days.  Even though the season has just begun, this will be a statement road trip for the Hawks.

On Saturday, the Hawks will arrive at Labatt Stadium in London to play a doubleheader against the Fanshawe Falcons (0-2, 5th OCAA).  Humber will be looking for redemption after falling to the Falcons twice in the postseason last year.

In the bronze medal game, Humber fell to Fanshawe 8-5 despite a four RBI performance from infielder Keegan Murphy (Brampton).

The Falcons enter this game winless on the year after being swept by provincial powerhouse St. Clair (2-0, 2nd OCAA).  Fanshawe's Robert Doyle is off to a scorching hot start at the dish after beginning the season five for six.

After the series in London finishes, the Hawks will immediately get on a bus to Windsor to begin a two-game series with St. Clair.  The three-time OCAA champions have won 32 consecutive games, with their last loss occurring on September 20, 2014.

St. Clair will return the majority of their championship team this season, including 2015 Batting Champion Eric Cunningham and Championship MVP Shane Courtney.

Despite the 1-1 record, the Hawks have received tremendous starting pitching from their rookie staff.  In two games, the Hawks have a combined team ERA of 1.29.

Saturday's games against Fanshawe will be at 4:00pm and 6:00pm.  Sunday's games against St. Clair will be at 1:00pm and 3:00pm.
