Badminton Finishes on Podium at Fanshawe Invitational

LONDON – Humber badminton travelled to London over the weekend to compete in the annual Fanshawe Invitational. Playing in their second tournament of the season, the Hawks placed on the podium in all five disciplines.

National champion Victoria Duong and Susanna Quach paced the way for Humber, finishing the tournament with a 4-0 record to capture the women's doubles title. The duo did not drop a set and won by an average of 25-9. Duong and Quach also competed in the women's singles discipline, and Victoria placed second with a 4-1 record, while Susanna finished third with a 3-1 record.

Desmond Chan and Arpit Taneja recorded a third-place finish in the men's doubles discipline, while Chan and Susanna Quach also finished third in mixed doubles category.

National champion Ramnish Kumar and Arpit Taneja finished third in the men's singles discipline, with Taneja ending with a 4-1 record, while Kumar finished with a 3-1 record.

Humber badminton will wrap up 2019 with the George Brown Invitational Dec. 7 – 8.
