SEVEN HAWKS NAMED 2019 OCAA BADMINTON ALL-STARS
MISSISSAUGA, ON: At the 2019 OCAA Provincial Badminton Championship banquet this morning at the University Of Toronto – Mississauga (UTM), seven Humber Hawks badminton players were named as 2019 OCAA All-Stars.
OCAA Badminton All-Star selections are based on the results from the East and West Regional Championships that took place last week. The division champions receive the all-star team nods. Based on the results from the West Regional, Humber athletes have taken seven of the eight awards.

- Victoria Duong / Women's Doubles
- Arpit Taneja / Men's Doubles
- Ayubu Touray / Men's Doubles
- Elizabeth Duong / Mixed Doubles
- Harry Cotaras / Mixed Doubles
- Ramnish Kumar / Men's Singles
Ramnish Kumar was also selected as the OCAA Men's Badminton Player of the Year, All Canadian and 2019 CCAA National Player of the Year nominee.
The players will compete in the 2019 OCAA Provincial Badminton Championships on Friday and Saturday, February 15 and 16, 2019. The top two finishers in each discipline will advance to the 2019 CCAA National Badminton Championships at Dalhousie University on March 6-9, 2019.
