HAWKS HOST 2018 HUMBER CUP THIS WEEKEND AT HUMBER ATHLETIC CENTRE

ETOBICOKE, ON: The first and largest OCAA collegiate badminton invitational will take place this coming weekend at the Humber Athletic Centre – North Campus. The Annual Humber Cup Badminton tournament draws the best players from across the province.

The feature of this event is that players, unlike the OCAA Championships, can enter multiple events over the weekend. For example, you may see players like two-time CCAA National defending champion Chloe Rowe play in all three disciplines – women's singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. Many former Humber players have done this in the past and come away with the prestigious "triple crown" – gold in all three divisions.

Humber, perhaps the most dominant program nationally over the last number of years, will once again put a very strong team on the floor with many of the players already won national and provincial medals.

Play kicks off at 2:00 on Friday afternoon, and will continue long into the night. Saturday will begin early and will also play down until all divisions and flights are complete.

Entry, as with all Humber Varsity events, is free to attend.
