CHLOE ROWE - FEMALE FRESHMAN ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

CHLOE ROWE - FEMALE FRESHMAN ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

ETOBICOKE, ON: The wave of incredible Hawks badminton players continued with the arrival of the much heralded Chloe Rowe

With the likes of veterans Olivia Lei and Adam Dong already entrenched as a pair of the best to ever play badminton in Canada, Chloe has quickly made her stake to be in their elite company. To truly gauge her impact, it is best to work backwards.

Chloe, along with her partner Phuthita Nilyok, did not lose a set on their way to the 2017 CCAA National Gold Medal in women's doubles. As a member of Team Ontario at the championships she also received a second CCAA Gold medal for conference supremacy. The lead up to this amazing accomplishment as a freshman, was OCAA gold and an OCAA All-Star selection.

The first time she stepped on the floor as a Humber Hawk, Chloe came within a whisker of winning the prestigious triple gold at the Humber Invitational. Only a championship match loss to three-time CCAA national champion Olivia Lei, kept her from the triple crown. She did finish with two golds a silver.

With Chloe leading the way, the future of Humber badminton continues to shine bright.
