2016 YONEX BC ELITE SERIES - HUMBER RESULTS

VANCOUVER, BC: The Humber Hawks badminton program was well represented at the 2016 Yonex BC Elite Series. Full results below:
Men's Singles:
- Ryan Chow was defeated in the quarter finals to the #2 seed.
Women's Singles:
- Chloe Rowe finished Top 4. She was defeated by teammate Olivia Lei in the semifinals.
- Olivia Lei defeated ex-Canadian Olympian Anna Rice in the finals in three exciting games: 21-10, 19-21, 21-18.
Men's Doubles:
- Adam Dong and Nyl Yakura cruised to the finals, eventually falling 21-18 and 21-19 to Guoxing Huang and David Wu, a duo that knocked out the top seeds.
Women's Doubles:
- Phuthita Nilyok and Chloe Rowe lost to an unseeded pair from NAIT in the semifinals and were eventually defeated in the Bronze Medal match by the no. 2 seed, 21-15, 13-21, 23-21.
Mixed Doubles:
- Boom Nilyok and Ryan Chow -- falling 21-19 and 21-18 in the quarter finals.
- Chloe Rowe and Partner -- defeated by teammates Olivia Lei and Nyl Yakura 21-18, 24-22 in the quarter finals.
- Olivia Lei and Nyl Yakura -- finalists, defeated by teammate Adam Dong and Partner 17-21, 21-18 and 12-21.
- Adam Dong & Partner -- Champions!
