Bio

Joseph has been a Strength & Conditioning coach for Humber Athletics since 2015.

He is a graduate of Humber College’s Fitness and Health Promotion program and obtained an honours degree in Kinesiology from the University of Guelph-Humber. Formerly a varsity athlete, Joseph was a member of the cross country team from 2010-2012, and in his graduating year he took on the role as the team’s manager. 

Latina’s experience has been dominantly at the University level, working for the Ryerson Rams and York Lions prior to joining Humber. During this time, it allowed him the experience of developing athletes from a variety of different sports such as hockey, volleyball, rugby, football, and many others. His experience also comes from the national level, where he works with Team Canada’s National Women’s Hockey program during training camps and selection camps. He has also had previous employment through the Canadian Sport Centre Ontario, Sporttesting, and was a Personal Trainer at Humber for five years prior to taking his role as a Lead Strength Coach. 

Latina holds his certifications in Strength and Conditioning (NSCA-CSCS), Functional Movement Screen (FMS), and Certified Personal Training (CSEP-CPT).
