Machado, Stushnoff Earn Humber Student-Athlete of the Week Honours

ETOBICOKE – Freshman forward Emma Stushnoff and centre midfielder Nicholas Machado have earned Humber Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honours for the week of Oct. 21 to Oct. 27.

Playing in her first OCAA tournament, freshman Emma Stushnoff played a large role in helping Humber women's soccer capture its fourth straight provincial medal. The Calgary native scored two goals - including the game-winner in the bronze medal match and was named to the 2019 OCAA all-tournament team.

Nicholas Machado joined some elite company on Saturday, becoming just the 11th player in program history to be selected as the OCAA Championship MVP. The centre-mid's work largely goes unrecognized, but as Humber's field general, he played an important role in helping the Hawks successfully defend their provincial crown.
