BOWLES ADDED TO FULL-TIME ROSTER IN HUMBER ATHLETICS

ETOBICOKE, ON: Longtime serving Varsity Operations Coordinator and Women's Softball head coach Duaine Bowles has officially joined the full-time permanent staff of the Humber College Athletics Department.

Bowles, a fixture at Humber varsity games as the varsity operations lead, will now add the title of Athletic Centre Evening Facility Coordinator to his many titles. As mentioned above, Bowles will move into his third season as the head coach of the women's softball team.

"This is a long overdue move for Duaine and the athletics department", said Humber Director of Athletics Ray Chateau. "He has proven himself on every level and in every role, and his value to all of our operations cannot be measured".

Bowles has been key in the development of the varsity operations crew and game-day presentation. One does not have to go any further beyond watching the spectacular pre-game opening at Humber's varsity basketball and volleyball games to see the impact he has made. The use of spotlights, video score tables and an energized public address announcer are just a few of the ways he has introduced to entertain Hawks fans.

"I cannot be happier now that Humber has made a commitment to me and my future", said Bowles. "As a graduate and former varsity athlete at Humber, this is where I want to be and I am excited being part of this exceptional crew in Athletics".

His added role on the facility side will ensure that the facilities are clean and safe for all members, and to ensure the highest in customer service from the staff. Events will continue to be his forte, and any visiting groups will be provided with the best in Humber hospitality.
