37th ANNUAL HUMBER CLASSIC BEGINS NOV. 9

ETOBICOKE, Ont -- The 37th annual Humber Classic will tip-off on Thursday, Nov. 9, with 16 of the top high school programs from the Greater Toronto Area participating.

Dating back to 1981, Humber basketball has developed a strong relationship with the surrounding community, hosting the annual tournament to showcase the top basketball talent from across the province.

Through the years, future stars have showcased their talents on the Humber hardwood, including Andrew Wiggins, Dillon Brooks and Kevin Pangos, to name a few.

Participating schools this year include Ascension, Blessed Cardinal Newman, Central Peel, Central Toronto Academy, D'Youville, Emery, Etobicoke C.I., Martingrove C.I., Oakwood, Silverthorn, St. Edmund Campion, St. Marcellinus, St. John Paul II, Thornlea, Timmins, and Vaughan.

The tournament begins Nov. 9, culminating in the championship game at 6 p.m. on Nov. 11, which will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network.

Admission is FREE to all and as a bonus, all participating schools are invited to watch Humber basketball play the Redeemer Royals Saturday, Nov. 11 before the championship game.
